130 Miss World contestants to serve as ambassadors for Vietnam

According to organizers, the contestants will spend approximately one month in Vietnam participating in the competition.

Beyond the main pageant rounds, they will also join a wide range of cultural exchange programs, tourism promotion activities, charity initiatives, and community projects.

The event is being viewed not only as a beauty competition but also as a large-scale cultural forum connecting nations through shared experiences and traditions.

As contestants share their journeys and the destinations they visit across Vietnam, the pageant is expected to help bring the country’s image closer to international audiences.

One of the signature activities of the Miss World 2026 is the ‘Dance of the World’ show, where the contestants appear in traditional costumes and present performances reflecting the cultural identity of their respective nations.

In addition, activities such as visits to hospitals, schools, social welfare centers, and participation in community campaigns in Vietnam are expected to add social and humanitarian dimensions to the event.

The Miss World organizing board had previously launched a special initiative encouraging each international contestant to bring a children’s book introducing the culture of her country to Vietnam.

“These books are not only symbolic gifts but also bridges connecting knowledge, language, and national identity among countries and territories,” a representative of the organizing board said.

“This is also how the Miss World beauty pageant expands the concept of beauty beyond physical appearance to embrace education, culture, and community values.”

Miss World has consistently aimed not only to crown famous beauty queens but also to cultivate women who are socially responsible and capable of inspiring others.

Over the years, the event has developed a range of side competitions designed to highlight contestants’ intellect, character, and social impact.

Among the most important is the ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ segment, where contestants present community projects they are pursuing.

The ‘Head to Head Challenge’ round allows judges to evaluate contestants’ critical thinking, communication skills, and social perspectives through debates and presentations.

Also, the ‘Sports Challenge’ emphasizes athleticism, determination, and endurance, while the ‘Talent Challenge’ offers contestants an opportunity to showcase artistic abilities.

Meanwhile, the ‘Top Model’ competition focuses on stage presence, runway performance, and fashion style.

These segments place emphasis on intelligence, personality, communication skills, community engagement, and the overall influence of the contestants.

Miss World remains one of the world’s longest-running beauty pageants.

First held in 1951, the competition will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2026, marking the 73rd edition of the event.

Vietnamese representatives have achieved notable results at Miss World over the years, including Tran Ngoc Lan Khue (Top 11), Luong Thuy Linh (Top 12), Do Thi Ha (Top 13), and Do My Linh, who reached the Top 40 and won the Beauty With a Purpose award.

Representing Vietnam at the 73rd Miss World in 2026 will be Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, winner of Miss Intercontinental 2022.

She currently serves as CEO of Miss World Vietnam 2025.

Ngoc was named first runner-up at Miss World Vietnam 2022 and placed in the Top 22 of Miss Vietnam 2020.
