The student, identified as N.T.A.T., was studying industrial electricity in class 65B2 while being enrolled in grade 10 under the continuing education program.

His family said he succumbed to severe injuries at home after being transferred from Thanh Hoa Children’s Hospital, where doctors had warned that his condition was critical.

The incident took place during the second break period on October 31 in classroom E302 on the third floor of the school’s main building in Trieu Son Commune.

T. was reportedly sitting in class and using his phone when a group of 11th-grade students from another class on the second floor came upstairs and attacked him.

Teachers nearby rushed to the scene after being alerted by students and carried T. to the school’s infirmary for first aid.

As his condition worsened, the school contacted An Viet Hospital in Trieu Son for emergency transport and notified his family.

School administrators held an emergency meeting immediately after the incident, assigning teachers and staff to assist the family during T.’s hospitalization at An Viet Hospital and Thanh Hoa Children’s Hospital.

They also visited the family to offer condolences and financial support.

Local police in Trieu Son quickly launched an investigation and identified four 11th-grade students involved in the assault.

Their parents have been informed as authorities continue to clarify the circumstances.

The provincial police have taken over the case for further investigation.
