Both the evacuation and repatriation were coordinated by the Vietnamese Embassies in Iran and Russia.
According to the ministry, the hostilities that began on June 13 have created serious threats to the safety of people in both nations, including members of the Vietnamese community.
In response to the outbreak of violence, the ministry immediately issued its highest-level travel advisory, urging Vietnamese citizens to avoid traveling to Iran or Israel.
Those already in either country were encouraged to relocate or prepare for evacuation.
Vietnamese authorities, including the Ministries of Public Security and National Defense, worked in close coordination with diplomatic missions to assess the situation, safeguard citizens and embassy staff, and prepare evacuation plans for affected areas.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son extended sympathies and issued directives to Vietnamese diplomats, urging them to prioritize the safety of Vietnamese nationals abroad.
Prior to the evacuation, 37 Vietnamese citizens and four people of Vietnamese descent were living in Iran.
In Israel, the Vietnamese community numbers more than 700, including embassy personnel and their families.
The foreign ministry confirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran remains operational and that its staff members are safe.
Embassy officials continue to stay in contact with the remaining citizens in Iran, many of whom are long-term residents.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel has launched a repatriation registration program and developed detailed evacuation plans, ready to be activated if necessary in coordination with Vietnamese missions in neighboring countries and domestic agencies.
