The evacuation was carried out under the embassy’s citizen protection plan in Iran, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Tuesday, citing Ambassador Ngoc.

The ambassador added that 20 Vietnamese nationals remain in Iran, including embassy personnel, and all are safe.

Before the evacuation, the total Vietnamese community in Iran numbered 38, comprising embassy staff, long-term residents, and short-term visitors.

The embassy has urged those still in Iran to stay vigilant, avoid crowded areas, strictly follow local safety regulations, and remain in regular contact.

In case of emergency, individuals can call the embassy at +98 933 965 8252 or +98 991 205 7570.

Tensions between Israel and Iran have entered their fifth day and kept escalating following Israel’s preemptive strikes on targets in Tehran and several Iranian provinces on June 13.

Many countries are now planning evacuations for their citizens from both Iran and Israel.
