The fire broke out at about 4:32 am at a single-story tube house used for living and producing bread and steamed buns in a central market area of Phu Yen Commune.
Fire crews deployed two engines and 16 personnel to the scene, where the blaze had engulfed the house and threatened to spread to nearby kiosks.
Firefighters split into two teams, one attacking the fire from the front entrance and the other moving to the rear to cool the area and prevent the flames from spreading.
The fire was extinguished at about 5:00 am without spreading to surrounding structures.

Authorities found two people dead in a bathroom area, a 50-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, both residents of Tam Hong Commune in Phu Tho Province who were temporarily living in Phu Yen Commune.
The fire destroyed household items and production equipment.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are under investigation.
Local authorities provided financial support totaling VND58 million (US$2,200) to the victims' family.
