The event will take place from January 15 to 17 in My Hoa Hamlet, which is dubbed 'a kiteboarding paradise,' in the former province of Ninh Thuan (now part of Khanh Hoa Province).
It will feature male and female competitions across multiple categories, with athletes expected to deliver dynamic and visually striking performances.
According to Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the waters off My Hoa are considered ideal for kiteboarding by experts thanks to a long, open coastline, stable winds, and suitable waves throughout the year.

In addition to the competitions, organizers will incorporate side activities such as promoting coastal tourism, showcasing local culture and cuisine, and raising awareness about marine environmental protection and plastic waste reduction.
The provincial tourism officials said the championship is not only a competitive platform for athletes but also an opportunity for Khanh Hoa to promote its image as a destination, attract domestic and international visitors, and gradually develop marine sports tourism products in line with green and sustainable growth goals.
The provincial tourism sector also noted that at least 33 cruise ships are expected to visit Khanh Hoa in 2026, including large vessels such as Royal Princess, Costa Serena, Coral Princess, Diamond Princess, and Westerdam.
These cruise ships will dock at Cam Ranh International Port and Ana Marina Nha Trang, bringing passengers to visit and experience tourism products in Nha Trang and Dien Khanh areas.
