3 family members die from suspected electrocution in southern Vietnam

Three family members were found dead in their home in An Giang Province, southern Vietnam on Sunday, with an electric shock believed to be the cause of their death.

The fatal incident took place at O Long Vi Commune under the province’s Chau Phu District,  the local police agency said on Monday.

The deceased victims were identified as Ngo Van Hung, aged 51, his wife Le Thi Cuc, aged 47, and their seven-year-old son Ngo Van Vu Linh.

At around 11:20 am on Sunday, Le Thi Tuyet Loan, who is Hung’s younger sister-in-law, came to the back of his house to find her nephew but no one responded.

Loan, a 24-year-old native in the commune, climbed into the house where she discovered that Hung, his wife, and their son were lying immobile and appeared to already be dead.

Loan shouted for help and called a local police agency to report the case.

Police officers were dispatched to the scene to verify the case and conduct a post-mortem examination.

By Sunday evening, the police announced that these victims were killed due to suspected electrocution.
