The motorcycle was driven by Nong Van Tuan, 46, who was carrying his wife, Long Thi Huyen, 46, and their 10-year-old son, Nong Hai Lam.

The impact killed Tuan and Huyen at the scene, while the child died on the way to the hospital despite emergency assistance from bystanders.

Both vehicles were severely damaged, and debris was scattered across the roadway.

Police officers arrived at the scene to block traffic, conduct forensic examinations, and investigate the cause of the crash.

Authorities contacted the victims’ family to assist with necessary procedures.

National Highway 28 features mountainous terrain, steep slopes, and sharp curves, with traffic volumes increasing significantly during the Lunar New Year period, raising safety concerns.
