According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the provincial police department confirmed that all 314 escapees from the facility in Kien Hao Hamlet, My Thuan Commune had been found or persuaded to return by 9:30 am the same day.
Among them, investigators have criminally detained 14 suspects, including nine for causing public disorder and five for resisting law enforcement officers.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when 314 drug rehabilitation patients at the facility assaulted staff members and fled into nearby flooded fields, following a dispute over the center’s smoking ban.

Provincial police immediately mobilized forces from 102 commune and ward police units to conduct a large-scale manhunt.
By Tuesday, police had captured 292 individuals, while 22 remained at large.
A group of nine ringleaders were identified and detained for inciting disorder.
After extensive operations involving hundreds of officers and local residents, all escapees were eventually recovered by Wednesday.
The police department said the investigation is ongoing.
