Conservationists, fishermen dive to remove ‘ghost nets’ off central Vietnam island

Twice a year, a small boat carries divers equipped with air tanks, ropes and specialized gear from Con Co Island in Quang Tri Province to the surrounding protected waters, where they dive to the seabed to remove abandoned fishing nets and free marine animals from the deadly traps.
