AMC Robotics, a Nasdaq-listed, US-based artificial intelligence (AI) robotics company, said it has leased a 6,150-square-meter manufacturing facility in Bac Ninh as part of its plan to begin commercial production of its robotic systems.
The factory will be operated by AMCV Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of AMC Robotics in Vietnam, and will serve as the company’s long-term manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia.
AMC Robotics plans to invest $3.5 million for the first phase of the project.
The factory will be equipped with standardized production lines for precision assembly, integrated calibration systems and end-of-line automated testing to improve consistency in production, quality control and operational efficiency.
During the first phase, the plant will focus on NovaArm, a robotic arm designed for high payload warehouse sorting, high precision and industrial automated applications.
The company said installation and commissioning of the production lines are expected to be completed before manufacturing begins in the second half of 2026.
Sean Da, chairman and chief executive officer of AMC Robotics, said the Bac Ninh facility marks an important step in the company’s transition from product development to commercial-scale manufacturing.
The factory has been designed with future expansion in mind. In addition to NovaArm, AMC Robotics plans to use the site’s manufacturing and testing infrastructure to support new products, including Kyro, four-legged robotics, also known as 'quadrupted robotics' for industrial inspection, security, and automated supervision.
AMC Robotics said concentrating on Vietnam production will help the company to gain competitive benefits in cost, technical workforce, and scalable manufacturing capacity when the demand for automated solutions continues to grow in fields such as logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing production.
Vietnam has emerged as an increasingly important manufacturing destination for technology, electronics, and automation companies as many multinational firms seek to diversify supply chains and expand production capacity in Southeast Asia.
