The three gold medalists are Nguyen Viet Trung Nhan, a 10th grader, and Nguyen Huu Tuan, an 11th grader at High School for Gifted Students of the University of Science under the Vietnam National University-Hanoi; and Nguyen Phu Nhan, an 11th-grade student at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Da Nang City, central Vietnam.
The silver medal was awarded to Nguyen Nhat Minh, a 10th grader at High School for Gifted Students of the University of Science under the Vietnam National University-Hanoi.
Bronze medal winners include Nguyen Khac Trung Kien and Bui Dam Quan, 12th-grade students at High School for Gifted Students of Hanoi National University of Education; and Hoang Cong Bao Long, an 11th grader at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Da Nang City.
The consolation prize went to Bui Quang Nguyen, a 12th-grade student at High School for Gifted Students of the University of Science under the Vietnam National University-Hanoi.
In the team competition, Vietnam Team 2, comprising Nguyen Khac Trung Kien, Hoang Cong Bao Long, Nguyen Phu Nhan, and Bui Dam Quan, secured the fourth place with 198.4 points, ranking behind teams from Poland, Russia, and Hungary.
With this result, the Vietnamese team was ranked among the top four countries and territories at the 2025 International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence, further solidifying Vietnam’s standing in global academic competitions.
The 2025 International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence gathered 300 contestants from 78 teams representing 60 countries and territories.
