Local investigators began looking into Durian Limited Liability Company, headquartered in Vat Lai Commune, Hanoi, after identifying suspicious activities related to the import and re-export of raw materials for its garment manufacturing.

The foreign-owned company is legally represented by Kim and specializes in importing raw materials for processing garments for export, according to an officer.

Kim was found exploiting Vietnam’s tax exemption policy applied to imported goods used for export-oriented manufacturing to submit false declarations regarding the eligibility of the firm's commodities for tax exemption, thereby avoiding taxes.

The case remains under investigation.
