The strong downpour accompanied by gusty winds hit Da Lat City, causing numerous trees along inner-city roads to topple.
At around 5:45 pm, a large, over-30-year-old pine tree on the sidewalk of Pasteur Street was uprooted.
The tree had a trunk diameter of about 90 centimeters.
As it fell, the tree destroyed a fence below and its top crashed onto a car that was in motion, severely damaging the vehicle’s front end.

At the time of the incident, the car was carrying tourists on a sightseeing trip.
No injuries were reported.
Following the incident, Da Lat authorities quickly arrived at the scene to clear the fallen tree.
