Authentic Chinese Haute cuisine at Li Bai

Authentic Chinese Haute cuisine at Li Bai

It is without doubt that Cantonese and Shanghainese food has won the hearts and souls of gourmands the world over. Located in the Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, Li Bai is regarded by many as one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, offering diners a wonderful array of luscious choices from its a-la-carte menu, set menu and unlimited Dim Sum buffet.

Li Bai’s tempting a-la-carte menu offers a stylish take on traditional Chinese food by adding international ingredients to create innovative Chinese dishes which suit all tastes. Some of the restaurant’s signature dishes include the Li Bai suckling pig with jelly fish and Mini Buddha Jump Over the Wall. Asia's most prized shellfish, Abalone with numerous succulent preparations, as seen everywhere at Hong Kong wet markets, is also a key ingredient for Li Bai’s delicacies. Here, it is given a special touch in its Braised whole abalone with Japanese dried mushroom in oyster sauce.

In addition, there is a range of succulent roast meat on offer at Li Bai. Among those are Roasted Beijing duck, Li Bai Crispy Roasted Chicken and Roasted Char Siew Pork with honey.

(Food for thought: Hongkongee consume 66,000 tons of Cantonese-style roast meat a year according to CNN, and the most popular roast meat in Hong Kong is indeed char siu, so they should know how to roast perfect, flavoursome, melt-in-the-mouth meat)

A special feature of Li Bai is also its Dim Sum menu. Our chef breaks tradition and brings the art of creativity into a delicious variety of dim sum dishes, as seen in his dumpling creations: Steamed salmon dumplings, Steamed crab meat pumplings with spinach, Pan-fried chive dumplings with prawn, Deep fried diced cod taro dumplings; as well as an array of other Dim Sums such as Siew mai with salmon roe, Steamed rice flour rolls with prawn, Beef spring rolls with chilli bean sauce, or Oven baked barbecued puffs with honey sauce. At Li Bai, diners can enjoy over 50 Dim sum specialties as well as rice and noodle dishes either from 11am during Monday to Saturday or earlier at 10am on Sunday to 2:30pm.
