Authorities seize 75 iguanas kept without permits in Ho Chi Minh City

Forestry officers and local police found the animals during an inspection of the house, authorities said.

The iguanas weighed a combined 61.8 kilograms, with individual lengths of about 40 to 80 centimeters. 

The species is listed under Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

The animals were transferred to a forest protection facility in the city for care and further handling in line with regulations, officials said.
