
More than 3,000 people on October 26 flocked to Ho Chi Minh City’s Lan Anh Stage for the concert of singer Bang Kieu, his first performance in Vietnam after 10 years living in the US.
Titled “Bang Kieu in Concert 2012,” the show is the biggest show of his 22-year singing career.
At the concert in HCMC, Kieu performed hits which has made his reputation, including “Trai tim Khong Ngu Yen” (The Heart Can’t Sleep), “Xin Loi Anh” (Sorry), “Yeu Thuong Mong Manh” (Love is Fragile). Well-known singers My Linh, Minh Tuyet and Hong Nhung also joined Bang Kieu in duet performances.
Born in 1973 in Hanoi, tenor Bang Kieu was members of a number of bands including Chia Khoa Vang (Golden Key), Hoa Sua (Milk Flower) and Qua Dua Hau (Water Melon) before starting his solo career.
“Bang Kieu in Concert 2012” will move to Hanoi’s National Convention Center on October 28.
