According to the Vung Tau Ward Public Service Center, the locality saw an increase of more than 6,000 tourist arrivals on Thursday compared to the previous day.
By the afternoon, Bai Sau Beach, considered the locality’s most beautiful stretch of shoreline, was packed with beachgoers swimming and enjoying the holiday.
Many accommodation providers reported being fully booked, especially seaside hotels and guesthouses.
Notably, several three- and four-star properties such as Ibis Styles and Mercure Vung Tau Resort were fully booked from the second to the fourth day of Lunar New Year.
Several five-star hotels in the city also said they had reached full occupancy.
The spike in tourist numbers led to traffic congestion during peak hours on several key streets, including Thuy Van, Hoang Hoa Tham, Quang Trung, and Tran Phu, particularly at major intersections.

Despite the surge in visitors, authorities maintained public order, environmental sanitation, and safety for tourists.
Four beachgoers caught in rip currents were rescued and brought safely ashore.
Local forces also reunited ten lost children with their families and returned valuable belongings that tourists had misplaced.
