At around 2:15 pm, a male body was discovered floating near Hang Trong, close to Conservation Center No. 2 managed by the Ha Long Bay Management Board.
The location is within the vicinity of the July 19 accident site.
Upon notification by local fishermen, the Ha Long Bay Management Board secured the area while provincial rescue teams arrived to retrieve the body.
The remains were transferred to Bai Chay Hospital for DNA testing to confirm the identity.
One week ago, the Vinh Xanh 58 tour boat, carrying 46 passengers and three crew members, capsized on the afternoon of July 19 after being hit by a sudden squall while touring Ha Long Bay.
Only 10 survived the incident.
A total of 38 bodies had previously been recovered and returned to their families.
Most recently, the female body of the 38th victim in this tour boat tragedy was recovered on Friday afternoon.
