-- Vietnam’s top labor union said on Tuesday it would push employers to allow workers at least eight hours of paid working time annually to attend political, ideological, and legal education activities.

-- Vietnam’s daily electricity consumption could exceed 1 billion kWh during peak heat in the dry season from May to August, driven by rising temperatures and demand, the National System and Market Operator said.

-- Khanh Hoa Province in south-central Vietnam is studying a three-year pilot of open-top double-decker buses on a 12-km route in Nha Trang to boost tourism and the nighttime economy, provincial authorities said.

-- More than 2,000 riders from over 100 motorcycle clubs across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond are expected to gather in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province from May 29 to 31 for the Castrol Superbike Fest 2026, organizers said on Tuesday.

-- Hanoi on Tuesday ordered schools to review and publicly disclose food suppliers for boarding kitchens following a case in which about 3,600 pigs infected with African swine fever were slaughtered and distributed, including to some schools.

-- Ho Chi Minh City has asked relevant departments to review a proposal to add nearly 19,000 classrooms by 2030 following a survey showing the system falls short of targets amid rising student numbers, the city government said.
