-- A hailstorm coupled with strong gusts lashed a commune in Tuong Duong District in the north-central province of Nghe An on Saturday afternoon.

-- The Project Management Unit 7 has sought approval from the Ministry of Transport regarding an official development assistance (ODA) loan of 20 billion yen (US$184 million) to build the My Thuan 2 Bridge on the Trung Luong-Can Tho Expressway, which will run parallel to the existing My Thuan Bridge, one of the Mekong Delta's major structures.
