-- A 23-year-old man in Yen Thanh District, located in the north-central Vietnamese province of Nghe An, was stabbed to death during a physical confrontation at a local karaoke bar on Sunday night, according to police officers.

-- Vietnamese conglomerate Hoang Anh Gia Lai on Sunday put into operation a five-star hotel in Yangon, Myanmar. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and high-ranking officials from Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia.
-- Several banks in Vietnam have stopped providing their online services to those accounts that had had previous transactions with national carrier Vietnam Airlines, in a bid to ensure information security after a team of Chinese hackers allegedly carried out a cyberattack on the airline’s website and stole its customer data.
Lifestyle
-- Over 2,500 young people participated in a blood donation event that was organized by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion in Hanoi on Sunday. The participants formed a human national flag at the end of the event.
