-- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on Sunday evening (local time) arrived at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, beginning his four-day state visit to Australia, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

-- Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man led a high-level Vietnamese delegation to pay tribute and sign the condolence book for President of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 70 due to vasculitis, in Vientiane on Sunday.

-- The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi will suspend visits from September 4 to November 2, 2026 for periodic maintenance, with the site scheduled to reopen to the public on November 3.

-- A Quang Ngai fishing boat sank after being hit by a squall while fishing in the Hoang Sa (Paracel) waters, with all four fishermen on board rescued safely by another fishing vessel, Binh Thanh Border Guard Station in Quang Ngai Province reported on Sunday.
