-- Police in Da Nang have arrested four suspects accused of illegally detaining a Chinese gambler to collect a debt.

-- Ho Chi Minh City will repurpose surplus government buildings and allocate additional land to expand preschool facilities to meet rising childcare demand in urban areas and industrial zones, the Vietnam News Agency reported, citing a newly issued city plan for improving early education from 2026 to 2035 with a vision to 2045.

-- The first Aeon Beta cinema complex in Vietnam opened in Hanoi on Sunday, marking the initial roll-out of a joint venture announced in August 2024 between Beta Media and Japan’s Aeon Entertainment to build 50 Aeon Beta cinemas nationwide by 2035.

-- An official from the An Giang Department of Tourism said on Sunday that an Indian couple held a lavish seven-day wedding at a resort and entertainment complex on Phu Quoc Island.
