-- A heavy downpour at noon on Monday caused flooding in several areas of Da Lat, a tourist city in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, including To Ngoc Van Street, along the Phan Dinh Phung stream, and the area around the city flower garden near Xuan Huong Lake.

-- Eight provinces and cities in northern Vietnam have simultaneously launched recruitment campaigns, offering more than 96,000 job openings. Among them, production workers are in especially high demand, with over 67,000 positions available, according to an online job fair on Monday.

-- The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has called for strict action regarding an incident in which hundreds of passengers were left waiting in exhaustion in a jet bridge hallway in the wee hours of Sunday at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City as a glass door was not opened.

-- Colonel Huynh Tan Hanh, director of the police department in Ninh Thuan Province, south-central Vietnam, has been promoted to major general and appointed as the head of the representative office of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in Laos.

-- Thong Nhat Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City announced on Monday that it had coordinated with relevant units to retrieve and transport seven organs from a 39-year-old brain-dead male patient from Phu Yen Province, south-central Vietnam. The organs were successfully transplanted into five recipients, and two corneas are being prepared for transplantation.

-- Green and Smart Mobility, an electric taxi ride-hailing firm founded by Vietnam’s richest man Pham Nhat Vuong, known for its Xanh SM brand, on Monday officially announced the launch of the Xanh SM Ngon food delivery platform, marking its entry into the competitive food delivery market alongside GrabFood, BeFood, and ShopeeFood.

-- Vietnamese air carrier Bamboo Airways has confirmed that Phan Dinh Tue has submitted his resignation from the position of chairman of the carrier’s board of directors. The decision will be voted on at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled for July 5.

-- Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise has recently submitted a document to Party General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, proposing building an international airport without using central government budget funds in Ninh Binh Province, northern Vietnam.

-- U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration is considering significantly expanding its travel restrictions by potentially banning citizens of 36 additional countries from entering the United States, according to an internal State Department cable seen by Reuters.

-- The Trump Organization launched a self-branded mobile service and a $499 smartphone on Monday, dubbed Trump Mobile, signaling a new effort to court conservative consumers with a wireless service positioned as an alternative to major telecom providers, Reuters reported.
