-- A volunteer group has applied artificial intelligence to matching photos and helping owners identify their missing cats among more than 400 felines recently rescued by Ho Chi Minh City police.

-- Forest protection officers in Ho Chi Minh City said on Saturday that they had received a mountain hawk-eagle handed over by police in Phuoc Long Ward after a local resident captured the bird while it was attacking chickens. The resident used a chicken cage to trap the eagle before bringing it to the ward police station.

-- Since early April 2026, an additional 3,269 households, government agencies, and businesses across Ho Chi Minh City have installed self-consumption rooftop solar power systems with a combined capacity of 427.5 MWp, Bui Trung Kien, deputy general director of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, said on Saturday.
