-- The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel on Thursday issued a notice to the Vietnamese nationals living, studying, and working there, urging heightened caution amid a complex security situation following a surge in missile and drone strikes in recent days, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

Economy

-- Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has announced a three-percent reduction in passenger train ticket prices and a four-percent cut in freight charges, effective from Friday, due to lower fuel prices. The cuts come just days after the firm raised passenger fares by 10 percent and freight transport fees by 15 percent on March 8.

-- National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced adjustments to its flight operation plan, adding nearly 1,000 seats on routes between Vietnam and Europe.

Ho Chi Minh City

-- The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has written to local authorities, relevant units, and businesses requesting coordination to maintain the landscape at land lots designated for parks and flower gardens during the Lunar New Year holiday in February, in order to prevent them from becoming abandoned or overgrown.

-- Ho Chi Minh City will put up for auction 3,790 resettlement apartments in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area in An Khanh Ward in May.

-- The southern metropolis has renamed 13 medical centers with inpatient beds as general hospitals under the municipal Department of Health to meet the demand for healthcare and treatment.

-- Ho Chi Minh City has launched a 150-day campaign to build 1,000 classrooms for the 2026-27 academic year, which will start in early September.

-- The city reported 588 hand, foot, and mouth disease cases between March 2 and 8, up 38.7 percent from the average recorded in the previous four weeks, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control.
