-- Ho Chi Minh City Police have uncovered a ring involved in counterfeiting beef using pork, as well as chemically treating frozen beef to make it appear fresh. Each day, around 140 kilograms of fake beef made from pork and 120 kilograms of chemically treated frozen beef from the ring were distributed to the market.
-- Police in Quang Tri Province, north-central Vietnam confirmed on Monday that they had successfully busted a substandard coffee production and trading ring operated by a woman, her son and daughter in Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Tri. The police seized nearly 600 kilograms of substandard coffee powder.
