-- Vietnamese State President Luong Cuong attended a ceremony on Tuesday marking the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong’s Liberation Day (May 13, 1955–2025), where he awarded the 'Heroic City' title to the city’s Party organization, authorities and residents, and called for greater efforts to make Hai Phong a hub for innovation and start-ups.
-- Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam on Tuesday stressed the need to continue broad public communication on the purpose, significance, scope, and content of proposed amendments to the 2013 Constitution.

-- Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security on Tuesday said it has initiated legal proceedings against Nguyen Thanh Phong, former director of the Vietnam Food Administration under the Ministry of Health, and four other health officials, placing them in temporary custody over allegations of their involvement in a network producing and selling hundreds of metric tons of counterfeit dietary supplements.
-- Heavy rain and strong winds on Tuesday afternoon blew the roofs off several houses in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam and toppled a large tree, which fell onto a woman and injured her.
-- Environmental workers collected nearly 20 metric tons of dead fish, water hyacinths and garbage from the Nhieu Loc–Thi Nghe canal in Ho Chi Minh City following the first seasonal rain, District 8 Public Services Co. Ltd. said on Tuesday.
-- At a recent job fair in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Van Hanh Thuc, director of the city’s Employment Service Center, said that local businesses, organizations, and individuals are currently looking to fill more than 10,000 job openings across a wide range of sectors.

-- Shares of Vinpearl, the hospitality and resort arm of Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, surged nearly 20 percent to VND85,500 (US$3.3) in their debut session on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange on Tuesday, giving the company a market capitalization of VND153.33 trillion ($5.9 billion) and placing it among the top eight listed firms on the bourse.
-- THACO AUTO, a leading Vietnamese automotive manufacturer, last week partnered with Daimler Bus, a global leader in bus and coach manufacturing, to unveil the Mercedes-Benz RS 1936 luxury bus and begin exporting the model to Thailand.
