-- Vietnam’s 15th National Assembly begins discussions on a proposed new model for the People’s Courts and the People’s Procuracies during its ninth session on Monday morning.

-- The Vietnam Poultry Association on Sunday dismissed social media rumors about fake chicken eggs and urged authorities to investigate and strictly punish those spreading the misinformation.

-- The developer of Tang Long Bridge ordered immediate repairs on the structure, located in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, starting Sunday night, following subsidence and cracks that appeared just over two months since its inauguration.

-- Heavy rain flooded several streets in Bac Giang City, Bac Giang Province, northern Vietnam on Sunday afternoon, including the 3-2 Square, with many vehicles unable to move.

-- The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee said on Sunday that Lien Khuong International Airport, the gateway to touristy Da Lat City, will temporarily close for about six months for major upgrades and repairs, with a total investment of more than VND1 trillion (US$38.58 million), after 18 years of operation since its last upgrade.

-- The Nha Trang Bay Management Board in Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam said on Sunday evening that earlier in the afternoon, fishermen near Hon Dung Island in Nha Trang Bay spotted a pod of nearly 100 dolphins migrating across the area.

-- Dr. Nguyen Dang Bao, director of Gia Lai Provincial General Hospital in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, said on Sunday that the hospital had successfully treated a man who was critically poisoned after eating mushrooms growing on cicada larvae, mistaking them for rare cordyceps mushrooms.
