-- Vice-chairman of the administration in Quang Ngai Province, central Vietnam has requested the salvage of a sunken tugboat that resulted in four deaths and five missing people in the waters off Ly Son Island in April 2024.

-- The Investigation Police Agency under the Ministry of Public Security on Monday issued a decision to detain and initiate legal proceedings against Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, 27, Miss Grand International 2021, for allegedly deceiving customers in connection with the controversial production of vegetable-based candy.

-- Police in Ho Chi Minh City have urgently arrested a 19-year-old man who used a glass bottle to attack a foreigner on Bui Vien Street in District 1 on Saturday night, police officers said on Monday.

-- The Vietnam Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security has issued a decision to temporarily suspend an immigration officer at Phu Quoc International Airport off the coast of Kien Giang Province in southern Vietnam for tearing a Taiwanese tourist's boarding pass on May 13.

-- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged the faster progress of the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center project in Hanoi to put it into operation by the National Day (September 2) holiday, while inspecting the project on Monday.

-- Ca Mau Province in southern Vietnam will develop six water supply projects from now until the end of the year, providing clean water to over 14,000 households. The projects are funded with over VND100 billion (US$3.9 million) by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, a local official said on Monday.

-- A leader of the administration in Duong To Commune, Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province said on Monday that local authorities are reviewing an incident involving a foreign tourist riding a motorbike on Tran Hung Dao Street without wearing a helmet, letting go of the handlebars, and allowing a child to steer the vehicle.

-- A Russian court has fined U.S. tech giant Apple 7.5 million roubles ($93,500) for three separate breaches of Russian rules on what Moscow calls LGBT propaganda, Reuters reported, citing the Moscow courts' press office.
