-- Da Nang International Airport in the namesake central city received an average of 262 flights per day on eight domestic routes and 24 international routes during the Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers’ Day (May 1) holiday, according to the Danang International Airport Operations Center.

-- Authorities in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam are verifying information shared by a tourist on social media accusing a floating eatery in Nha Trang Bay of overcharging, selling one kilogram of boxfish for VND3.5 million (US$134.7).

-- The administration in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, south-central Vietnam has issued a directive to temporarily suspend the operation of unqualified jet skis and speedboats in the city starting from May 2 following an incident in which a jet ski lost control and crashed into the shore, killing a young girl.

-- Warren Buffett is ending his career as perhaps the world's most famous and revered investor, saying he will step down as chief executive of Berkshire Hathaway at the end of 2025, and hand over the reins to Vice Chairman Greg Abel, according to Reuters.
