-- Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam and his spouse, along with a high-ranking delegation, landed at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport on Monday afternoon (local time), starting a three-day state visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. President Tokayev was present at the airport to welcome the Vietnamese leader and delegation.

-- India’s Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju expressed his joy, pride, and honor of accompanying Vietnam on its path of development during a meeting with secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen on Monday.

-- A large explosion at a house in Thai Nguyen Province, northern Vietnam on Monday left one person dead and three others injured.

-- A man residing in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, southern Vietnam has died of rabies after being bitten by a dog over a year ago but did not receive a vaccination.

-- Two young men who robbed a gold shop in Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City were arrested by police officers about five hours after fleeing the scene on Monday, according to a source of Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.

-- Police in Taiwan found four Vietnamese nationals dead late on Saturday in an apartment in Taoyuan, with carbon monoxide poisoning suspected to be the cause, according to CNA news site.

-- A taxi company in Da Lat City in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong said it would give an electric taxi driver the sack after a video surfaced on social media on Monday, showing the driver lowering the window on the driver’s side, resting his foot on it while driving.

-- The State Bank of Vietnam should increase the participation of foreign investors in local banks to enhance the brand value of banks in Vietnam, an expert proposed at a forum in Hanoi on Monday.
