-- Vietnam and Kazakhstan have elevated their relations to a Strategic Partnership, following official talks between Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana, Kazakhstan on Tuesday.

-- Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam met with Yerlan Koshanov, Speaker of the Mazhilis, the lower house of Kazakhstan’s parliament, who is also Chairman of the ruling Amanat Party, in Astana on Tuesday afternoon (local time).

Society

-- Northern Vietnam is forecast to experience hot weather, with some areas facing extreme heat from Wednesday to Friday, followed by possible showers and thunderstorms due to a weak cold spell, the national weather center said.

-- Vietnam Airlines flight VN37 from Hanoi to Frankfurt was diverted for an emergency landing at Erzurum Airport in Turkey on Tuesday to assist a passenger experiencing a medical issue, the airline said.

-- The Nha Trang Bay Management Board in Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam said on Tuesday they would launch a full inspection of floating restaurants after a venue was reported to have charged VND3.5 million (US$135) for one kilogram of boxfish.

-- GreenlinesDP, the operator of the high-speed boat route between downtown Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau City in neighboring Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, said the service has been suspended until a new docking site is arranged, as the company returned Pier No. 2 at Bach Dang Wharf to make way for pedestrian bridge construction.

-- Vietnamese e-commerce platform Tiki said on Tuesday its systems remain secure and fully operational, with all customer data and transactions protected, as web traffic steadily recovers following reports of some users being unexpectedly redirected to a gambling site.

-- Facing rising price competition, many Vietnamese businesses have been forced to exit e-commerce platforms, unable to compete with low-cost imports, mainly from China.

-- The State Securities Commission of Vietnam has confirmed that F88 Investment JSC meets the requirements to become a public company under the Securities Law, paving the way for its shares to be listed on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) in the near future.
