Politics
-- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with leaders from South Korea, India, Spain, Brazil, Algeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, the UAE, and international organizations on Saturday, as part of his trip to South Africa for the G20 Summit.

Floods
-- In response to the severe damage caused by the flooding in Gia Lai and Dak Lak Provinces, south-central Vietnam, thousands of officers and soldiers from divisions under Military Region 5 have been ordered to continue deploying to the flood-stricken areas.
-- Two helicopters from Vietnam’s 917th Air Regiment under the 370th Air Division on Saturday successfully delivered essential relief supplies to residents of Hoa Xuan Commune in Dak Lak Province.
-- The Ministry of National Defense has assigned the General Department of Logistics and and Engineering, Military Region 5, and Military Region 7 to study and propose the provision of national reserve supplies to support localities in the central region affected by floods.
-- At 4:00 pm on Saturday, National Highway 1 through the flood-hit central region was fully reopened to traffic after floodwaters receded, while several sections of the railway in the region remained suspended due to erosion caused by the floods.
-- A special childbirth case took place at the Olympic Hotel in Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa Province, where dozens of residents were temporarily taking shelter from the floods, on Saturday.
-- Chairman of the Lam Dong Province People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi said on Saturday that he had requested the provincial departments and relevant units to urgently carry out temporary repairs, setting the goal of reopening the Prenn Pass to traffic within no more than three days to reduce the load on the Sacom Tuyen Lam route and the Ta Nung Pass.
-- Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang affirmed that the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense have always closely monitored the situation and paid deep attention to the lives of people in areas affected by natural disasters. He made the statement during his trip to inspect a flood-hit area in Gia Lai Province on Saturday.
-- Tens of tonnes of fish raised in floating cages beneath Binh Phu Bridge in Xuan Canh Commune, Dak Lak Province were wiped out by the raging floods.
