-- Storm Koto, the 15th storm operating in the East Vietnam Sea, has left one person dead and three missing, according to the Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
-- Koto is expected to continue drifting at about 3 km per hour over the central East Vietnam Sea on Sunday, forecasters said.
-- Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday held a hybrid meeting with officials from the south-central provinces of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong and Gia Lai to review flood response and recovery efforts. He ordered local authorities to accelerate work to rebuild and repair homes damaged in the recent floods, aiming to stabilize housing for affected residents by December 10, complete repairs by December 31, and finish construction of new homes by January 31, 2026.
-- Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City said they extinguished a fire at a beauty clinic on Saturday after about 20 people escaped unharmed, with an initial investigation pointing to a car blaze in the basement.
-- The Con Dao National Park management board and the International Union for Conservation of Nature on Sunday evening held a ceremony to mark the park’s inclusion on the IUCN Green List, a global standard for protected and conserved areas that certifies sites for effective, equitable, and successful conservation, making it the 101st site worldwide and the third in Vietnam to receive the designation.

-- Hue’s tourism department on Sunday welcomed passengers arriving at Phu Bai International Airport on a charter flight from Shenzhen operated by China’s Donghai Airlines, which plans to run additional flights to the airport in November and December as the city seeks to expand international routes following the opening of its new Terminal 2.
-- Vietnam, which ranks among the world’s top 20 in trade volume and top 15 in foreign direct investment, faces major opportunities to expand its logistics sector, Industry and Trade Minister Nguyen Hong Dien told the Vietnam Logistics Forum 2025 on Saturday.
