-- A waterspout was spotted off Dong Tac Beach in Phu Yen Ward, Dak Lak Province, late Friday afternoon, drawing attention from residents and tourists, some of whom recorded the scene and shared it on social media.

Ho Chi Minh City

-- Ho Chi Minh City on Friday broke ground on a new children’s cultural center in the Thu Thiem urban area, a 38,000-square-meter facility featuring cinemas, a park, and a swimming pool, with a basement, ground floor and nine upper floors, officials said. The project is valued at VND1.124 trillion ($42.67 million) and is expected to be completed by December 2028.
