-- The Japanese Embassy in Vietnam and the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will start issuing single-entry e-visas to groups of Vietnamese tourists for short-term stays of up to 15 days from November.

-- The People’s Committee of Kien Giang Province in southern Vietnam has required the Ha Tien City administration to provide a report regarding the disappearance of the ancient family tombs of Mac Cuu, a Chinese exile who founded the principality of Ha Tien and served as its first monarch.

-- Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company’s recently-released financial report for the third quarter of 2023 reveals an after-tax profit of approximately VND43 billion (US$1.7 million), marking a remarkable increase of over 2.3 times compared to the same period last year.

-- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang officiated at the ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the inauguration of the Thi Vai LNG terminal in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, southern Vietnam on Sunday. This terminal boasts a capacity of 180,000 cubic meters and can store up to one million metric tons of LNG annually, with a total investment of VND6.5 trillion ($264.4 million).
