-- A car collided with a tractor-trailer in Quang Tri Province, north-central Vietnam on Monday, leaving one person dead at the scene and three others injured.
-- Storm Halong, currently active in the northwest Pacific region, will not enter the East Vietnam Sea and will not affect mainland Vietnam. In other words, there is currently no storm No. 12 expected to hit the sea, Hoang Duc Cuong said at a regular press conference of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on Monday.

-- Vietnam’s disbursement of foreign direct investment in January – September reached its highest level in five years, at US$18.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.5 percent, the Vietnam News Agency reported, citing the National Statistics Office of Vietnam under the Ministry of Finance.
-- Vietnam's largest private conglomerate Vingroup on Monday announced the establishment of VinMetal, marking its official entry into the metallurgical industry. VinMetal has a registered capital of VND10 trillion ($378.7 million) and aims to develop a hi-tech industrial steel manufacturing complex in the Vung Ang Economic Zone in Ha Tinh Province, north-central Vietnam, with a planned capacity of five million tonnes per year in the first phase.
-- Vietnam’s mobile carrier Vietnamobile announced on Monday the appointment of Dr. Nguyen Hien Phuong as CEO, making her the first Vietnamese person to hold the highest position in the company's history.
Travel
-- The center for investment, trade, and tourism promotion in Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam, in coordination with Anex Vietnam and other units, organized a welcome ceremony for a famtrip delegation of 42 wedding planners from India on Monday. The delegation will visit various five-star resorts and work with local businesses to discuss potential cooperation in organizing weddings and luxury tours for Indian tourists.
-- Tourism businesses in Phu Quoc, an island city off southern Vietnam's An Giang Province, are preparing facilities, training staff in foreign languages, and organizing cultural and culinary exchange programs to welcome international tourists coming for winter stays.
-- Vietnam welcomed 15.4 million international visitors in January-September 2025, up 21.5 percent compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism.
