-- The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Vietnam, and the People's Committee of Can Tho City in southern Vietnam jointly organized the Vietnam - U.S. friendship exchange program on Saturday evening. This event is part of a series of activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States.

Society

-- Police in Hoa Long Commune, Dong Thap Province, southern Vietnam, in coordination with relevant units, received two rare otters from a local resident and then handed them over to the Dong Tam Snake Farm for care.

-- By 2050, Van Don Airport in Quang Ninh Province, northern Vietnam will have a second runway and have its capacity increased to 20 million passengers per year, according to the draft master plan for the airport for the 2021–30 period with a vision to 2050.

-- Ho Chi Minh City will consider providing social housing support policies for individuals whose homes are located at least 14.5 kilometers away from their workplace if they live in a ward, and at least 20 kilometers away if they live in a commune, according to the city’s decision effective from October 1 this year until May 31, 2030.

-- Nearly 20 people have reported being scammed by United Kingdom International Travel Services Joint Stock Company after purchasing a tour to Turkey. Not only were their tours canceled, but they also have no idea when they will get their money back.

-- The Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province in southern Vietnam and the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, organized a conference on Saturday to connect Vietnamese and Cambodian enterprises in manufacturing, distribution, and logistics.

-- More than 100,000 protesters marched through central London on Saturday, carrying flags of England and Britain and scuffling with police in one of the UK's biggest right-wing demonstrations of modern times, according to Reuters.

-- An explosion in a cafe in the Spanish capital Madrid on Saturday injured 21 people, three of them seriously, Reuters reported, citing emergency services.
