-- Australian Governor-General Sam Mostyn and her spouse will pay a state visit to Vietnam from September 9 to 12 at the invitation of State President Luong Cuong and his spouse, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

-- A tropical depression over the East Vietnam Sea is forecast to strengthen into a storm on Saturday. If formed, it would be the seventh storm to hit the maritime area this year, according to the national weather agency.
