To welcome the New Year 2026, Quang Ngai is also hosting a series of cultural and tourism events lasting several days, highlighted by Mang Den Culture and Tourism Week and the cherry blossom season, running from January 1 to 4.
Spanning from highland forests to the open sea, Quang Ngai Province welcomes the New Year with high development aspirations following the July merger of former Quang Ngai and Kon Tum Provinces.
With a well-spread schedule, rich content, and a harmonious blend of mountains and sea, the New Year event series not only creates a festive atmosphere for locals but also offers appealing travel ideas for visitors.

Mang Den at its most beautiful season
On the evening of January 1, the Mang Den town center area will come alive with a combined art performance featuring gong music, a distinctive cultural heritage of Central Highlands ethnic groups.
After more than 90 minutes of performances, an artistic fireworks display will light up the sky, ushering in the joyful atmosphere of the New Year.
In the following days, visitors can join the hot-air balloon festival 'Flying over Cherry Blossoms,' offering aerial views of pine forests, lakes, and blossom-lined roads.
Sports and tourism activities also await, including the 'Run in the Clouds – Mang Den Trail' race and an open pickleball tournament, appealing to outdoor and fitness enthusiasts.
Alongside these are a culinary and OCOP (One Commune One Product) product space with around 80 booths, where visitors can enjoy Mang Den’s Arabica coffee, watch roasting and brewing demonstrations, join the 'Highland Barista' contest, and sample local specialties.
Light trekking tours to Dak Ke Lake, a 60-year-old pine forest and Khanh Lam Pagoda are suitable for families, adding balance to the early-year journey.
A province-wide event series
Beyond Mang Den, New Year celebrations also take place in Quang Ngai’s urban areas.
In Cam Thanh Ward, an art program themed 'Aspiration of the Open Sea' recreates coastal cultural life and the seafaring spirit of local communities.
Meanwhile, the 'Breath of the Great Forest' program in Kon Tum Ward highlights the beauty of mountains and forests, ethnic cultures, and the vitality of highland regions.
