Officers from the provincial economic police unit inspected a facility named 'Shop Viet Cam' in Nam Nha Trang Ward on Friday last week.

The shop is officially registered under Vietnamese woman N.T.T., but police identified 48-year-old Chinese national Zhou Yonglin as the actual operator of the business.

Yuan Tao, 36, also from China, was found managing the staff.

At the time of inspection, the shop employed 29 Chinese nationals and 33 Vietnamese, all engaged in the shop’s commercial activities.

The store displayed and sold various health supplements including FUWAH-HK Angong Pills, Te Quang tablets, FUWAH-HK Liver Detox Bars, Ngoc Linh ginseng, and Duong Tam Dan.

None of the products had invoices or certificates proving their origin.

Several items were suspected of containing banned wildlife products such as ivory, bear bile, rhino horn, and pangolin scales, raising serious concerns over violations of regulations protecting endangered and rare species.

The economic police unit then sealed all goods, electronic equipment, and related products for further investigation and legal proceedings.
