Christmas decoration market sees early demand in Ho Chi Minh City

Many stores along Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street in Ho Chi Minh City have begun selling Christmas decorations in various designs and sizes, according to market observations.

Products include Christmas trees, baubles, tinsel, wreaths, Santa Claus figures and snowman models for decorating homes, offices and business premises.

Small accessories such as tinsel, bows, bells, gift boxes and Santa hats cost VND8,000-40,000 (US$0.30-1.50) each. 

Dried pine cones are priced at VND35,000-65,000 ($1.30-2.50), while sets of decorative baubles cost VND135,000-270,000 ($5.10-10.20), depending on their quantity and size.

Christmas wreaths are priced at VND250,000-320,000 ($9.50-12) each.

Christmas trees have the widest price range, from several hundred thousand dong to millions of dong, with heights ranging from 90 centimeters to more than 12 meters.

Many stores also accept orders for customized Christmas tree decorations based on customers' preferred colors, styles and accessories.

Some consumers have started purchasing decorations and selecting Christmas trees for their homes and workplaces, although the peak shopping season has yet to begin.
