A pho (beef noodle) diner owner in Ho Chi Minh City has come up with an idea of making his own colorful noodles to give the dish an eye-catching look and thus lure more customers.
Pho Hai Thien on Bui Vien Street, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1 does not serve traditionally white noodles like other pho stores in Ho Chi Minh City.
The place offers unique pho bowls with the noodles dyed purple, red, blue, yellow, and black.
The owner makes the noodles themselves instead of buying them from the market like other places.
The colors are extracted from vegetables, fruit, and seeds such as beetroots, carrots, gac melons, black sesame seeds, and others.
Hai Thien offers noodle soup with beef, chicken and seafood.
It is worth a try!
