Gold corp chairman in Vietnam stands trial for illegally transferring $425mn across borders

The Hanoi People’s Court on Monday opened the first-instance trial of Nguyen Ngoc Phuong, chairman and general director of Hanoi-based Phu Cuong Gold Corporation, who faces charges of illegally transferring over US$425 million across borders through fraudulent financial schemes and false documentation.
