Crowds began gathering at around 2:00 am, shortly after Vietnam defeated South Korea 7-6 in a penalty shootout to secure third place in the continental tournament.
Major streets in the city center were packed with people waving national flags as long lines of motorbikes moved slowly through key routes.

Traffic built up along Le Duan, Dien Bien Phu, and Nguyen Van Linh Streets, as well as around Dragon Bridge and the Han River Bridge, with red-and-yellow flags filling much of the area.
Some supporters carried banners, horns, and makeshift noisemakers, while chants of "Vietnam wins" echoed through the streets.

Foreign tourists were seen joining the celebrations and filming the scenes on their mobile phones.
Nguyen Thanh Tam, a local resident from Hoa Khanh ward, said the match had been emotional until the final moments.

"As soon as the penalty shootout ended, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride," he said, adding that he and friends went out to celebrate immediately.
By around 3:00 am, large crowds were still gathered near Dragon Bridge and at the 29/3 Square.

Most participants followed traffic signals, helping to limit congestion, police said.
Traffic police and public order officers were deployed at major intersections to manage the flow of vehicles and ensure security as celebrations continued into the early morning hours.
