Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, deputy director of the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the organizers had chosen a spacious square in the city center to make the music more accessible to residents and visitors.
The approach is also intended to integrate the festival into everyday urban life and enhance the tourism experience in Da Lat, she added.
Ngoc said Da Lat was chosen not only because of its popularity as a tourist destination but also because it joined UNESCO's Creative Cities Network in the field of music on October 31, 2023.
The festival is expected to diversify the city's cultural and tourism offerings, provide new experiences for residents and visitors, and promote Da Lat's image as a destination associated with music and creativity.
Dinh Van Tuan, deputy chairman of the Lam Dong administration, said the event would help make Da Lat more attractive to art lovers and domestic and international tourists.
