The 2026 DIFF runs from May 30 to July 11 in the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang.

Tickets for existing grandstands at the fifth competition night scheduled for June 27 have already sold out.

Grandstand A4 was initially planned only for the final night on July 11, but organizers decided to use it earlier so more visitors could enjoy the fireworks displays.

Since the event kicked off on May 30, grandstands during several competition nights have been filled well before showtime, while public viewing spots along the Han River, the Dragon Bridge, and the Tran Thi Ly Bridge have also drawn large crowds.

The festival has energized the beach city with cultural, artistic, culinary, and tourism activities throughout the summer.

Travel agencies reported strong demand for tickets to the final rounds, with many tourists extending their stays to visit attractions such as Ba Na Hills, Hoi An Ancient Town, and My Son Sanctuary.

The June 27 show, themed ‘Vision,’ is the last qualifying round, featuring teams from Australia and Portugal.

Skylighter Fireworks Pty Ltd of Australia will combine fireworks with music from Coldplay, Bon Jovi, and Avicii, delivering a message of ambition and overcoming limits.

Macedos Pirotecnia of Portugal, winner of the ‘Most Creative Team’ award at the 2025 DIFF, will return with a performance centered on connection, innovation, and the future.

The contrast between Australia’s youthful, energetic style and Portugal’s artistic European flair is expected to be a highlight of this year’s qualifiers.

DIFF has become a major driver of Da Nang’s tourism industry.

Last year, the festival attracted more than one million visitors.

Throughout the event, hotels along the Han River and the coast reported high occupancy rates during weekends, while restaurants, cafés, and river cruises saw significant increases in customers.

Tour operators said the demand for travel packages that combine sightseeing with fireworks viewing continues to rise compared with previous years.
