“The closure is to make way for a new project,” she stated.
According to the park management, various exciting events will take place leading up to the final day.
The park will be brightly decorated with the national flag and feature a range of musical programs.
Da Nang residents and visitors will be able to enjoy iconic attractions such as the Sun Wheel, Asian-themed check-in spots, and thrilling outdoor rides like Queen Cobra and the drop tower.
Special promotions are also being offered, particularly for student groups.
On August 30, an MC and K-pop performance contest featuring 200 kids will be held at Sun Wheel Square.
On August 31 and September 1, the Random Dance competition, an iconic event of Da Nang Downtown, will take place.
The farewell celebrations will culminate on September 2 with a revolutionary music concert and a carnival-style street parade at the VUI-Fest market area.
Opened in 2014, Da Nang Downtown has been a favorite destination for both tourists and locals.
It has also hosted numerous major cultural events, with the iconic Sun Wheel along the Han River becoming a recognizable symbol on international media platforms.
